Ever wanted to build your very own Millennium Falcon? Or how about an R2 unit? Better yet, how about we get our friends together and construct our very own Death Star!! Well before the first girder is welded or hyper-drive installed, you’re gonna need this, Star Wars: The Blueprints. With over 500 photographs and illustrations that show how everything in the Star Wars Universe was designed, this is without a doubt the most comprehensive and ambitious collection ever put together.
Now George Lucas wouldn’t be satisfied with just some ordinary book for the Blueprints. The deluxe book measures 15” x 18” and weighs close to 35 pounds.
You want one? Better make that jump to lightspeed quickly here. There are only 5,000 of these hand-numbered books available.
May the Force be with you.

I don’t whether to put this in the “holy shit, this is cool” category or the “holy shit, what idiot would buy this” category.
For $250, the case/adapter combo lets you mount your SLR lenses on your iPhone. Coming in two flavors (Nikon SLR or Canon EOS). Maybe for $50 but not $250.
What do you think? I’m not sold on it.
You can buy it here.

You’ve probably already seen it but I wanted to go on the record about it. I fucking loved this movie. It’s everything I had hoped it would be. Fun, crazy special effects and gratuitous shots of Rosie Huntington. Sure the story wasn’t perfect but it worked. I can’t wait to see it again.
And do yourself a favor, see it in IMAX 3D. Well worth the price of admission.

Would be DJs who own an iPad or iPhone are already familiar with Algoriddim’s popular Djay app. Having been a club jock in Washington DC (I’ve spun at Zei Club, The Spy Club, The River Club, Tracks and the Fifth Column) Djay was one of those apps that brought be back to the hay day of house and the birth of techno. So when I saw that Numark was coming out with a live DJ set-up for i-devices, it piqued my interest.
With the iDJ Live, all you have to do is just plug in your iPad via the Dock Connector, hook it up to a sound system and you’re jamming. The iDJ Live gives users two performance tables for scratching and cueing up music. bass and treble controls and of course, a crossfader. Bad Ass.
Sure it’s not a “true DJ” set-up but for $100, I’ll take it.
You can order it here.

This picture is simply BAD ASS. I love this.
In lieu of today’s court decision regarding Casey Anthony, I thought this pic was rather awesome.
